Teen Action Group (TAG)

If you're interested in joining our Teen Action Group and letting the community hear your voice through your local library, join today! Just download the application and bring it by the library. Our TAG meetings are the first Monday of the month, as long as the library isn't closed for a holiday.

The mission of TAG is to promote library services to teens in Gonzales, TX at Robert Lee Brothers, Jr. Memorial Library by:
  • Advising, planning, and implementing teen programs.
  • Promoting ideas, reading, programming, and expression by and for teens.
  • Recommending books and movies for the young adult collection.
  • Creating an inviting teen area in the library.
Qualifications:
  • Be a student in grades 7-12, beginning in June after finishing 6th grade.
  • Once you graduate from high school, you graduate from the program.
  • Have a Robert Lee Brothers, Jr. Memorial Library card.
  • Attend at least 60% of TAG meetings yearly.

Volunteer

We accept a limited number of teen volunteers throughout the year. However, we need the most help during the summer months. If you're interested in volunteering, download our application or stop by the library to pick one up.
