Routine water samples are tested to assure the safety and efficiency of the system. The City has two water wells and operates one water plant that provides high quality water, well within compliance of applicable state and federal standards.

The Water Treatment Plant is located at 111 St. Michael. Contact the Water Department for questions and concerns about water issues at 830-672-3525 or email waterplant@cityofgonzales.org.

Utility payments and arrangements for water services should be made at City Hall, 820 St. Joseph Street. Tap fees for water services should be made at 1920 St. Joseph Street.

Water Quality Report

In order to ensure that tap water is safe to drink, EPA prescribes regulations that limit the amount of certain contaminates in water provided by public water systems. Food and Drug Administration regulations establish limits for contaminants in bottled water that must provide the same protection for public health.
