El Diez y Seis de Septiembre, or “El Grito de Dolores”! 🎉 On this day in 1810, Father Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla rallied Mexicans to fight for independence from Spain. Even though Mexico officially gained independence on August 24, 1821, September 16 remains the heart of the celebration. 🗣️💥
